KMJ,Derby:

It looks like PSB 1,2 &3 are on working on Freeview - BB4 6HQ (Rossendale)
the other channels are all working.
Is that because of Haslingden transmitter problem?

Where did you get the information of the problem?

I know that radiation patterns can be highly centred towards a specific location, but this beam heading South for Haslingden seems very extreme! How does a transmitter manage to radiate these sorts of extreme patterns?

david o'keefe: As some blocks of flats are within your postcode, the obvious question must be: are you in them and are you served by a communal aerial system, as, if you are then the likely candidate must be that system. If so, then it needs reporting to the party responsible (e.g. landlord) in order to get it fixed.

Anyone know why this transmitter has such a high power radiation pattern down towards the South?

Harry: Hi, Harry. I would suggest that the reason is that the main Winter Hill transmitter on Rivington Moor cannot get out very far to its East due to the terrain and so Haslingden is used to serve viewers as far South of it as Bury perhaps? Just an idea, Richard, Norwich.
