I have been getting digital TV (and radio) from the Humshaugh transmitter since the changeover to digital in this area. For the past few days both my TV sets have shown no signal on all BBC channels except BBC1(HD) and BBC2 (HD)(Which provide an excellent picture). The commercial channels are also good but there are no radio channels. My post code is NE46 4DJ.
Please advise.

Mr J M Carter: This indicates that you are not receiving mux channel 39 from the Humshaugh transmitter and which is used by BBC1/2 on SD, however nothing is seen as having been reported as yet with regards to any faults being in existence nor are any engineering works taking place, and so you should try going into your TV's tuning menu / manual tune and entering Ch39 but do NOT press scan or search, because if the signal is still there albeit at a low level it will still be indicated, make a note of the level and then change the channel previously entered to Ch42 (ITV1) then compare its level to that of the previous, giving an update on results.
By the way provided you have NOT carried out a rescan then you can simply select BBC1 and carry out a signal check on a blank screen thereby bypassing the aforementioned procedure.
