Question please. Re: Slapton transmitter - are there plans to update this transmitter so that more channels are available? If so, when? What channels will become available?

Or is Freesat the alternative? Don't want Sky.

Hopefully yours and thanks.

Karen: Until the engineering work is complete (most likely before it gets dark). Do not attempt to retune.

G. Sterry:

I assume your aerial has the rods vertical and is pointing at the Slapton Relay, bearing 183 degrees - almost due S. Have your signals returned?

If you retuned when there was no signal (never recommended), it will most likely have just cleared the correct tuning and you'll have to retune again when signals are normal (you might have to try several times!) (If your set auto-retunes when there is no signal, turn the function off if possible, it's more trouble than it's worth).

Otherwise I can find no Planned Engineering or Faults currently listed BUT there has been some variable "Tropospheric Ducting" with the current weather conditions and this has been affecting different viewers and channels around different parts of the country at varying times. This should clear soon.
