Can someone tell me why it is not possible for Westwood transmitter to have Film 4 as an option. This is a major freeview channel and surely should be available all over the UK?

Mary Cross: It was a decision taken by the owners of the Com muxes not to extend the service to relay sites not already served. This was because it would more than double the cost of providing the service whilst only adding a small percentage of extra viewers. Most viewers using the relay transmitters can either receive the COM muxes direct from a main station (using a suitable aerial) or receive extra channels via satellite or cable. As an example the Digital UK postcode checker predicts good reception on all six muxes to be available from Mendip at your location, with an alternative transmitter due to enter service on 18th April 2012 (Rowridge VP) also offering good reception.
