Kevin Connor: Transmitters don't reduce their power output (except during engineering work and there hasn't been any recently at the Whalley transmitter) so you need to look for a problem with your own aerial system. Start behind the TV and check for any loose or damaged cables or connections, then work your way back towards the aerial as far as you can safely access.

Thanks for that I have checked all connections. Still the same problem.
c43 and c40 all ok . the problem persists on channel 46 with BBC coverage.
THUS I cant receive regional news on BBC. Commercial channels ok on c43 .

Kevin Connor: You havn't given us a signal level or a postcode to work with, but it could be that even though everything looks ok, a dodgy cable is causing a problem with that multiplex, and the others are low but workable.
As Steven said, its almost certainly your system.

We get our signal from Whalley nab repeater. Why is it going off line at 01.10 at night. It is affecting all the channels. I can be watching a program ok then at 1.10 it says no signal

Debi Hothersall:
There's no Planned Engineering listed by Freeview for this repeater, and the BBC have not reported any loss of their services.
How long has this problem been occurring?
What time do the signals return?
Have you had any changes to your equipment?
Have you had any changes to your electrical installation?
If this is occurring at 0110 exactly each night, it sounds like it's something operating on a timer that's causing interference. One of the most common things at this time of night is Off-peak heating/Economy 7 switching on the storage and other heaters. Maybe there's a bad connection or faulty thermostat etc that's casuing the problem. It may not be your own electrical equipment, it could be a near neighbour.
Can you detect any interference on any radio channels that starts and ends at the same time?
