Brian,
Just an update on the Woodford transmitter.
First part of the swichover has gone exactly to plan and the signal is excellent even with an 18 year old arial !!

Second part of the switchover went ahead last week on this transmitter. All the allocated channels work fine with good reception ,including the HD channels.
This is all still on the old arial and the HD channels are of equal quality to those on Freesat

So are the rest of the freeview channels coming to this transmitter, or will I have to keep satellite for film4?

James: No - Woodford Halse is a relay and will only have the 3 PSB MUXs, so you'll need to keep the dish (but don't need a subscription for Film4).
Even with 6 Freeview MUXs I still have a dish - used almost exclusively for the additional "red button" sports screens (Freeview provides only one).

Richard quakkelaar:

Yes the info for the PSBs seems to have disappeared from all transmitter pages, no doubt due to a bug resulting from automated site software "upgrades" (not sure that choice of words is best!!). I know the site owner has had a few issues that some of the upgrades have created.

I believe this is the info you want -

PSB1 & PSB2 - DVB-T 6817 (8K) carriers, 64QAM mode, FEC=2/3, 1/32 guard interval, MPEG2, Mux Bitrate 24.1Mbps

PSB3 - DVB-T2 27841 (32KE) carriers, 256QAM mode, FEC=2/3, 1/128 guard interval, MPEG4, Mux Bitrate 40.2Mbps
