Richard Brooks: A bit of a long shot... but might it be possible that TV in the bedroom is picking up a signal from France?

That might explain why the clock is out by an hour?

Malcolm house: A loss in signal at the same time every day is usually caused by electrical interference from something operating on a timer switch. Check around your property and ask your immediate neighbours (if possible) to check for anything being turned on around that time.

Marilyn Dutton:

The engineering work normally only lasts for one day. However, no contributor to this website will know how long any work is planned to last, only Arqiva will know that and they are very reluctant to release details.

Freeview signal very poor, re tuned frequently but even if its good it then goes wrong. I have a communial arial which is OK.
In particular, SKY 233 is the first to go.

Mr Jon Stevens:

Firstly, frequent retuning is a very bad idea and is never recommended, especially if you have weak or no signal, or badly pixellated pictures. In most cases it will just clear the correct tuning and possibly tune to to a weak signal from another transmitter that will disappear as weather conditions change.

If you are getting Sky (LCN233) - that is carried on the ArqA/COM5 multiplex.
See Channel listings for Industry Professionals | Freeview for which channels are carried on which multiplex.
You won't be getting the signals from Bexhill as it is a "Light" transmitter and doesn't have any COM (or Local) multiplexes.

As this is a communal aerial, do any other people on the same aerial have similar problems?
If you provide a full postcode we can look at the predicted reception for your locale and the most likely transmitter.
Please have a look at which way (approx. compass bearing) the aerial is pointing and whether its rods (or squashed Xs) are horizontal or vertical. Can you see if its downlead is secure and not flapping in the wind?

Why is the HD signal poor or non existent here? We have previously been able to receive HD channels but following re tuning they have disappeared completely. We should like to get them back. Can the bexhill transmitter be boosted for HD. Mike Blackmore 65 Pine Ave, Hastings.
