We cannot receive any BBC tv channels since the changes last week. What do you suggest? We have retuned our TVs many times with no success. Other channels are okay.

David Postlethwaite:

To be able to offer any assistance we need you to provide a full post code. Only then can we see what the expected reception conditions are like at your location.

As we do not know where you are in relation to the transmitter, we have no way of telling what your signal level should be like. So please check you are tuned correctly to the relevant channels (for Kidderminster they are 32, 34 and 35 currently) and check that the signal levels are in the required range (you idealy need it to be between 60% and 85% for good reception, too little or too much will cause problems).

Diane Ferris:

The BBC are reporting a fault.
Whilst the BBC have reported fault details on their individual transmitter page, they have NOT (yet?) added it to a page which is an engineering list of Freeview faults which is where the updates to this site come from.

The BBC have reported several faults in the last few days since storm Arwen. The transmitter had been on Planned Engineerting last week, From 1:45:47pm to 2:04:54pm on 25th Nov 2021 BBC A/BBCB HD Off the air due to essential engineering.

Then two interruptions on the 27th - From 8:45:04am to 4:33:42pm on 27th Nov 2021 BBC A Off the air due to a fault, From 4:35:21pm to 4:38:37pm on 27th Nov 2021 BBC A Off the air due to a fault.
Then From 5:04:13pm on 28th Nov 2021 to 11:43:38am on 29th Nov 2021 BBC A Off the air due to a fault.
Now From 11:43:38am on 29th Nov 2021 BBC A Off the air due to essential engineering.

These most recent outages I suspect are due to storm damage currently being repaired (they don't provided details). Some transmitters have had power outages.

Statement from BBC Engineering -

Interruptions to television and radio services due to Storm Arwen

Severe weather is causing problems with electricity supplies to several transmitters across the UK. Regional electricity suppliers are working hard to restore services. You can check the status of your local transmitter using our transmitter checker tool.

While you're waiting you could try BBC iPlayer or BBC Sounds to carry on watching or listening to your favourite programmes. They are both available on Smart televisions and many other internet connected devices.

Keep up with the latest weather in your area.

Bill Horsnall:

If you were watching Quest, then you are not getting your signals from the Kidderminster relay transmitter, However -

I'm afraid it's down to current weather conditions -
They have been causing Tropospheric Ducting affecting much of the south coast and southern parts of the country on Saturday and now extending into the Midlands and North of the country through Sunday including East Anglia, now currently affecting Wales and England. This causes interfering signals from distant transmitters in Europe or the UK to affect reception of your wanted signals. This can periodically last, seconds, minutes and sometimes much longer - Do NOT Retune.
There is nothing you can do about this apart from wait for conditions to change, or use online streaming if available.

IF you did retune, you'd be best manually retuning the UHF channels for your transmitter, I can't advise the UHF channels unless you provide a full postcode.

The BBC and Freeview have issued warnings -
High pressure weather conditions impacting TV & Radio services - from 07 October | Help receiving TV and radio
High pressure could affect reception across parts of the UK this week | Freeview
