Dora: Pleased you found a solution to the problem. You might find that the position of the HDMI cable relative to the equipment or other cables affects reception.

Sorry I didn't acknowledge your post earlier Mike but have only just seen it. I retuned my mother's TV yesterday and everything so far is fine though she is disappointed to receive so few extra channels. She is 89 and watches TV quite a bit. In particular I think she would have liked Film 4, Yesterday and Challenge. Thanks for your help.

We live in Darley Dale and have line-of-sight to the Stanton Moor transmitter. After change-over we seem to get all the DTV channels from Freeview Light *except* the HDTV channels. Have checked this on our two TVs, which are both HD-ready and have no problems with receiving Sky HD channels. Is Stanton Moor transmitting HD channels yet?

D: Yes, Stanton Moor is transmitting the HD multiplex. To be able to receive Freeview HD you will need a Freeview HD box or a TV with an inbuilt tuner that supports DVB-T2. HD ready simply means that the TV is able to display an HD picture, when connected via an HDMI cable, to a suitable HD source such as a Blu-ray player or a Sky, Freesat or Freeview HD box.

Clive Wellings:

I live in Tansley and am experiencing exactly the same problem. Reception was fine earlier this evening - now nothing at all and, as you say, retuning does not work. Can anyone advise where to go from here?

Clive Wellings:
I should have added that there was no power cut here, so I don't think that is a factor.
