Just Been to my Gran's. She has a new Digital TV, but this morning has lost all channels apart from BBC TV/Radio. I have tried to retune but there is nothing there. Is there a known issue with the transmitter? Leicester LE5

mark: It is a bit hard to be specific without a full postcode. Did you do a "first time installation" as directed?

anna: You should have no problems, if you use Freeview can you please see Single frequency interference | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice ?

If you mean on analogue, then ITV1 is now on the BBC TWO frequency for two weeks, as BBC TWO has closed on analogue.

I'm in Leicester and since the switchover I cannot receive Sky New, E4+1, etc (other channels on this MUX?!).
I'm using Freeview built into my Samsung LCD tv.
Any ideas what the problem is?

Since the digital switchover we regularly suffer poor reception with the picture breaking up - re-tuning does not help. BBC channels particularly effected
We have Freeview, with aerial on chimney stack.

C.Boydell: Check that your receiver is tuned to the correct frequency for the East Midlands. At your location Belmont and Waltham are almost in line and it is possible that Belmont channels occupy the "normal" positions in the channel list and Waltham channels are stored in the 800s. If this is not the problem, do you have any amplification on the aerial? If so it is possible that signals are too strong, in which case an attenuator would need to be inserted in the aerial feed to the receiver if it is not possible to reduce the gain on the amplifier, or remove it altogether- not so easy if it is a masthead amp!
