Hi, we have recently moved into a property in the postcode N12 8BU and we are using the main property aerial for freeview.

We are experiencing intermittent problems with the following channels, itv, channel 4, channel 5, itv 2 (plus a few others).

I have looked at the links above but feel that the problem is more a signal one because I had the same problem in a property that I lived in a mile down the road (N3 1LH) which would use the same transmitter.

Does anyone know anything about this problem and have a sollution?

Thanks very much.

Since the digital switchover, or very shortly afterwards, we have had the following problem:
Whilst we can receive freeview tv perfectly ( Sony Bravia digital), we keep losing all the BBC channels through the HDD recorder (also Sony digital). When we do a re-scan, the channels come back , but disappear again quickly. The aerial is on the roof, and connection from tv to HDD recorder is via an HDMI cable.
Any suggestions please?

Stephanie Marney: Is there a reason you cannot use the Crystal Palace transmitter? I have both Sony tv and Sony recorder (I live in Colindale), and the only problem I have is that I can't receive the HD channels on the recorder, but the tv it is fine.

Stephanie Marney:
Thanks for the advice.
However, we might be using the Crystal Palace transmitter, but since all the tuning is done automatically, how would I tell?
If tuning manually is the solution, where do I find the option to use Crystal Palace please?
