John F: As per other posts above, you quite likely have a Group A aerial which is not designed to receive all of the frequencies now in use. If you don't have satellite or cable, the Freeview Advice Line (see link below) can arrange for a replacement wideband aerial to be fitted free of charge.

Thanks for the feedback. I have contacted freeview and after a discussion they are sending an engineer next week. I will share your comments with them.

Pleased to say that the Freeview Engineer visited yesterday to review the situation.
Problem was exactly as StevensOnln1 mentioned.
As explained to me - Due to the changes on the transmitter as part of the 4/5G frequency clearout the MUX had been shifted to a new frequency which my aerial was not able to pick up.
Engineer fitted a new wideband aerial (free of charge) and also (for belt and braces) fitted a filter for the potentially interfering 4G frequencies.
A retune of the TV and all working fine.
regards
John F
Excellent service.

I can't find any reports of any current transmitter problems and there have been no changes since the retune in October. Haslemere is a very low power relay. If you provide a full postcode we can see what Freeview are giving for your predicted reception from which possible transmitters. You could be in a bit of an awkward spot. Can you also say which way your aerial is pointing and whether the rods are vertical or horizontal?
Try checking all you coax plugs, connections, flyleads etc, unplug connectors check for corrosion or other problems and reconnect them. See what signal strengths and quality you are getting for the multiplexes shown in your TV's tuning section, this might indicate potential issues with your aerial or downlead. Also check that your downlead looks undamaged and that your aerial seems intact and pointing in the correct direction.
Problematic connections, water ingress etc. can seem to affect reception of just an individual or several multiplexes.

Similarly, I have lost all HD channels from the Haslemere transmitter. It happened sometime over the weekend. All other channels fine.

Likewise we have lost the HD channels from the Haslemere transmitter since Thursday 21st November, everything else still OK. The TV shows a good signal strength on the HD channels, but with a very high error rate. TV still finds the HD channels on a re-tune, but no picture or sound is displayed for those channels.

David;
Neither Freeview pages or the BBC are reporting any problems with the transmitter at Haslemere, nor know of any in the last 5 days, so it would seem they are not aware of any issues.
I suggest you all report the problem to Freeview on 0808-100-0288 (office hours) also the the BBC via the RTIS see Contact Us | RTIS and FreeviewAdvice on Twitter @FreeviewAdvice

Further to the above, I've tried to progress this a bit via the BBC RTIS but they will generally only deal with individuals like yourselves, so you must contact them to ensure this is definitely progress. Whether Arqiva will get alerted as a result of my effort is unknown.
