luke harwood: You should get a good signal from the Horndean lite relay 1km away from your postcode. Start by checking for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV, then work your way back as far as you can safely access towards the aerial. Is the booster still getting power (most have a small LED to indicate that powered is being received) and is it powered from a mains supply in the loft or is it powered by an adaptor behind the TV?

HI Can anyone tell me if Freeview is something I can stream or access ? I currently have virgin media account, but the cost is getting excessive. I have a good wifi system so could I stream Freeview to my smart TV ? if so do I still need an arial and do I need a freeview box ?
any responses would be welcome Geoff

Geoff: Freeview is digital terrestrial TV received via an aerial, it is not an internet streaming service. If you connect an aerial to your smart TV and look for automatic tuning in the settings, it should be able to tune in all available channels.

Geoff:
In addition to what StevensOnln1 has said, you can stream SOME of the channels using Freeview Play which you should find in your Smart TV's apps (unless it's an older model that won't update to include it). Other than that you can use the various Player from some of the Broadcasters - iPlayer from the BBC, ITV Hub, All4, My5, UKTVPlay being the main ones. Visit Freeview | All your favourite TV shows, all in one place and all for free for more information. You can stream some other individual channels on-line by visiting their websites and see what they provide.
In terms of reception of Freeveiw with an aerial, you may be in Horndean but this "Light" Transmitter only broadcasts the PSB multiplexes however depending on your location you may be able to receive the main Rowridge transmitter which broadcasts all multiplexes. Put your details into the boxes on Freeview | All your favourite TV shows, all in one place and all for free corporate/platform-management for what you may be able to receive with the relevant aerial.
See Freeview | All your favourite TV shows, all in one place and all for free corporate/platform-management/channel-listings for a full list of Freeview Channels (and which multiplex they are on).
