Why does the Hawick transmitter turn of from 0250 every morning till 0600 as it is very annoying when u can't sleep and want to watch tv td99ry

Jackiie: The transmitter isn't being switched off overnight, no Freeview transmitter does that. It's quite likely that you're suffering from local electrical interference from something operating on a timer which is spewing out electrical noise and drowning out the signal.
