KatyP: Well sometimes good things do happen... it seems I may have been right that our single frequency interference was caused by our upstairs neighbour's new indoor aerial, as he has now had Cable people round and therefore I assume has now got cable and our problems have disappeared! Hooray!

Have a large but old aerial in the loft, can not use signal from Bengeo water tower as I have an old Oak tree between aerial and water tower, so use Sandy heath signal but do not get all of freeview channels.
Thanks Barry.

Barry Sullivan: The transmitter on the Bengeo Water Tower does not carry all the services anyway. For this reason you would probably wish to go with Sandy Heath if possible, even if it weren't for the tree.
I looked at the latest Ofcom document which lists all multiplexes form all transmitters:
http://licensing.ofcom.or….pdf
From Sandy Heath:
SDN is currently on channel 31 at 20kW and will remain so until 9th May when it will move to its final channel number 51 (at full power I assume).
To find out which services are carried on which multiplexes, see this page:
DTG :: DTT Services by Multiplex
Are you just missing SDN?

Barry Sullivan: The document also says that the three PSBs and Arqiva B are using the "transitional S1 antenna" (presumably at the final full power) until 27th June. I guess that this means that the coverage won't be the same as that when it switches to the final antenna.

Barry Sullivan: The predictor suggests that Crystal Palace might be possible at your location. Obviously this will provide London regional programming rather than Anglia which you get from Sandy Heath. If you could pick up the Hertford relay, you would get London programming as it is a relay of Crystal Palace.

Hi I have just completed the retune as requested. I have quite a few channels but some appear to be missing example Dave tv which i was looking forward to recieve. Can you tell me If i should be recieving this from my transmitter, if i am i obviously have or problem with my antenna. If it is not yet transmitted by my transmitter will other channels be added to this transmitter in due course.
Many thanks, Postcode sg13 7Bs

Paul Brennan: The Hertford transmitter doesn't carry the Commercial channels like Dave and Film 4 and probably never will. Those broadcasters work on a profit basis only. See here for a fuller explanation:
Will there ever be more services on the Freeview Light transmitters? | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice
The predictor suggests that you may be able to receive the full Freeview service directly from Crystal Palace or Sandy Heath.
A look at your road on Google Streetview rather confirms these possibilities as there is a mixture of aerials on Hertford, Crystal Palace and Sandy Heath.
If you wish to retain London programming, then Crystal Palace is best if you can get it.
