Ayshea Perring: Hi, Ayshea. Perhaps you didn't know that there were engineering works taking place on the Lowestoft Freeview Lite transmitter from about half-ten in the evening on Monday 6th June through to early hours of the morning yesterday. What has made things worse is that there has also been atmospheric interference since Sunday evening. If you did a factory reset or first-time installation when you "reset" your receiver it will have forgotten all of the channels it used to get, and if your "reset" didn't re-install your channels, perhaps you tried to do it when the engineers were still working on Lowestoft. I am afraid, therefore, that if you are still not getting any channels, you need to do yet another first-time installation now that the engineers have finished working on the Lowestoft transmitter. You should then find you have all your channels back again. Incidentally, why do you use the Lowestoft transmitter rather than Tacolneston near Attleborough, because that is much, much more powerful and transmits a lot more channels giving you much greater choice of programmes to watch! Richard, Norwich.

Derek Robson: According to the post which has appeared below yours, the Lowestoft transmitter was off air due to engineering work overnight to carry out frequency changes as part of the 700MHz clearance. You will need to retune.

We have been having a lot of signal problems since the big change over a while ago, especially early mornings. We have no reception this morning.
Sometimes the signal is good, but other times especially in the night and early mornings it goes off.
We have reset and retuned all our TVs many times, but it makes no differnce.
Other people in Kessingland a also having problems
Thanks

J sine: Resetting/retuning will never fix a signal problem as the TV was already correctly tuned to begin with. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? Please provide a full postcode so that we can see your predicted coverage at your location.

Please be patient, the hot weather is currently affecting transmissions of Freeview channels across the country, afffecting some areas more than others.

There is nothing anyone can do about the natural phenomenon that causes it and it's nothing to do with 'global warming'.

Although I have been re scanning many times, I am not able to receive the true entertainment channel that used to be on 61 or the true movies channel. We enjoyed these channels very much. Postcode nr33 7qh.
Will the service be resuming in my area please?

True Entertainment is no longer avaailable from the Tacolnston transmitter. It was moved on behal=f of the owners, Sony, to use the local multiplexes where available. There are no local services on the Tacolnston transmitter.
