Mr Tom Law:

To be able to help you we you to give us your full post code, then we can see what the reception conditions are like at your location.

Meantime, please check all the aerial cables to ensure there are no loose connections, etc. Also check that your TV is tuned to the correct transmitter for your area.

Every evening as Foyle's war (itv3) comes to a conclusion, we loose all TV services! It is happening night after night in Lewes (I assume this receiving is the Newhaven public service transmitter). Has work been going on every evening this week? Is this preparation for changes on 19th July 2018?

Please could you wait until Foyles War has finished transmitting?!

E Thomas: There is no recent engineering work shown for the Newhaven transmitter. I would suggest looking for a source of local interference, probably something operating on a timer which comes on around that time. Also, no one here works for or has any connections with any broadcaster or transmitter company.

I had to retune my TV after the Freeview frequencies changed on 19th July 2018. Now it is getting all the channels on differenct frequenciews from before. This page still shows the old frequencies. What are the new frequencies for the Newhaven transmitter? I am not sure if my TV is now tuned to Newhaven or Lewes frequencies. It is getting poor reception now, which happened before because it was tuned to Lewes and should have been tuned to Newhaven.

I live in Peacehaven and used to get freeview via Newhaven on C 50, 43. Now I am getting it on C 23 and 26. What is happening?

Please go to the Digital UK Coverage Checker, Digital UK - Coverage checker and put in your post code and house number. That will then tell you which transmitters you can receive signal from and what channels are being used to broadcast them.

I haven't had any Freeview since 19th July. Is the Newhaven light transmitter still off air?

CH: The Newhaven transmitter changed frequencies on 19th July and you will need to retune. You may also need a new aerial if you don't already have a wideband type, which should be available free of charge if you don't have satellite or cable by contacting the Freeview Advice Line (see link below).

Thanks for replying. I have tried to retune. I have deleted all my channels. Set top box says database empty. But when I do a channel search, it doesn't find anything :( I was sort of hoping that it would just come back, given the yellow roadworks symbol at the top of this page (does this mean that there are works ongoing?).
