Thanks for your suggestions StevensOnln1 and Chris.SE
No I don't see any way of getting a signal around the tree. I had my aerial moved to the highest point (gable end) last time we had this problem. Since then the tree has grown taller and is now in full leaf. I have contacted Clarion Housing Association who own the tree, but so far I have heard nothing back from them.
All of our equipment is freeview, 4 TVs a DVD recorder a You View box recorder a Sharpe hard drive recorder and Sony PS3 Play TV. It will be expensive to change all of this to Freesat and no we don't have an existing satellite dish.

Martyn Bell:
Your best bet is to continue to hassle the Clarion Housing Association about the tree.
Are you the only person affected by this tree or are there others whose reception has been disrupted?
If so, get them to hassle the Clarion Housing Association.

Hi I live at NR1 1JA, but currently only use cable tv. I want to get an aerial (which I don't have atm) and move to freeview to save some money. How far am I from the transmitter Norwich central , as I'd like to use an internal aerial if possible.

Daniel Rutter : You're only 2km away, but Norwich Central is a low power relay broadcasting at just 20w to provide infill coverage in the city centre. You're predicted to get a stronger signal from Tacolneston, which is a high power 100kw main transmitter 17km away.

Daniel Rutter :
To add to what StevensOnln1 has said, you may get away with a loft aerial for Tacolneston which should be pointing at a compass bearing of 222 degress - virtually SW, with its rods horizontal. But make sure you use an experienced aerial installer.
