Why is there still no Freeview coverage in my area when this information clearly states that the yellow area has the strongest signal? I don't want to have to buy Sky tv because Freeview can't provide a sufficient signal to my house. I'd like to add that a freeview T.V, a freeview box and a BT Vision box still cannot pick up any sort of signal. I Believe Penicuik to be the biggest town in Midlothian, it's not a small village thats just appeared out of nowhere and we should be up to date with these sort of things!

Karen: Only the BBC multiplex has launched so far. The D3&4 (ITV, C4, C5) and HD multiplexes will launch on the 15th of June.

To fully check the prediction for you, we need a full postcode.

This page's map is still inaccurate. It doesn't include the radiation pattern, doesn't handle interference from other transmitters, and is based on coarse terrain data, too coarse to be particularly useful.

I have a strange problem. My Freeview HD Box when I do a retune allows me a choice of Central Scotland or Central Scotland. If I select the first I can get both the BBC and HD muliplexes, if I select the second with the . at the end only gives me the ITV Muliplex. The manufacturers are unable to find a solution.

I've tried everything. The problem seems to be that the box thinks that there are two separate regions and only shows the region you have selected. It appears to find everything but only shows the Muliplexes it associates with the region you select. Mux BBCA & Mux BBCB appears on the one without the dot and Mux D3+4 on the one with the dot. There is no way to switch between the two so you are stuck with the one you have selected.

William Sim: I would contact the box maker and ask them about the problem, it shouldn't do this (obviously).

It seems the problem is caused by STV who are responsible for the ITV multiplex in Central Scotland having a space and dot at the end of the regional identifier sent by the transmitter. There is no fault with the box. The space and dot means the box thinks it is a different region.
