Hi There.
Has anyone else noticed the frequent interruptions to the signals/channels broadcast from West Runton tonight?
I think there have been significant outages on all channels this evening, although not at the same time.
Come to think of it, last night wasn't too good either!

Donna :-
If I'm right and you are in Taverham, you *cannot* be using the West Runton transmitter - it simply will not reach that far.
You are far more likely to be using the main Tacolneston transmitter, meaning your TV aerial should be pointing more or less south.
Someone somewhere appears to be messing around with the local transmitters, especially Tacolneston.

donna: Paul is correct in what he has said insomuch that your reception will be from the Tacolneston transmitter as you are outwith West Runtons service area, Tacolneston being listed in the engineering notice board as being liable to interruption at random times for the week commencing today 08/07/2013.

donna: Well although you are quite correct in what you have said as far as West Runton is concerned, but though although this station might initially appear as covering your location large areas to the left and right of Taversham (in an sideways "S" shape) are in a black spot for reception from this transmitter and why aerials in your area are seen to be facing towards Tacolneston, likewise DUK's reception predictor does not even indicate West Runton as a possibility for reception.

Of course another simple way to check being whether or not you can receive ITV3, if you do then this is only transmitted from Tacolneston.

Various Freeview channels, including BBC1/2, lost last night (08/07/13) after 23.20 in Sheringham - I believe West Runton is the transmitter used. No problems with signal up until then.

Is this because of engineering works and how long is this likely to last please?

Once again, West Runton signals have 'died'. From 2200hrs 15th July to last checking 2340hrs same day 'no signal' keeps appearing. Is it time to move to Sky

Why doesn't the West Runton transmitter give the same services as Tacleston?
