I'm certain your channel information for West Runton is out of date.
With a 21-30 band pass filter I lost the SD channels.
I have been informed the new channels are 29/31/37

Sewing Quarter - which your site says is available from West Runton on channel 73 - advised a retune would be required after 1.00 pm on Monday last. The advice said they would be on Red Button - surely some mistake!
We have retuned 3 TVs and cannot find Sewing Quarter anywhere - is it no longer available via West Runton?

Rob Johnson: Sewing Quarter has moved to the COM6 multiplex which is not broadcast from West Runton. The broadcaster's message about a red button service seems to actually be that that the channel can be streamed over the internet on a compatible smart TV or set top box during the hours when it is not broadcasting on Freeview.

Hi. All day we have had problems with the signal with numerous messages on screen saying signal is weak. This has happened on more than one t.v.
Is there a reason for this as there are numerous similar reports on Facebook from people suffering the same weak signal messages.
Thank you.

Derrick Feist : It's quite likely to be due to the current weather conditions, which cause radio signal to travel further than normal, so you may well be suffering with interference from distant transmitters which wouldn't normally be receivable, which broadcast on the same frequencies as the transmitter you're trying to receive.

I live in Sheringham and only have a small number of Freeview Channels. When I'm in my Caravan at Northrepps I can get many more.

I want to change from Sky to BT TV but not sure if I will get enough channels.

M Walker:

If when you are at home you are getting your signals from the West Runton transmitter, this is a Freeview "Light" transmitter and only transmits the 3 PSB multiplexes. It would be helpful if you could give some examples of the precise channels you don't get on Freeview.
(As in the post before yours, the transmitter was off-air for essential engineering).

The 3 PSB multiplexes are BBCA/PSB1, D3&4/PSB2, BBCB HD/PSB3.
See Channel listings for Industry Professionals | Freeview for which channels are carried on which multiplex.
The COM multiplexes are SDN/COM4, ArqA/COM5, ArqB/COM6. There's also COM7 and a Local Multiplex, the latter two only receivable in limited locations.

At Northrepps there is another relay transmitter at Overstrand which is also a "Light" transmitter with only the 3 PSBs, so you should get the same channels as at home.
BUT in both your locations you MIGHT get signals from the Main Tacolneston transmitter where all multiplexes are transmitted - that doesn't mean you can receive them, reception could well be "variable" A full postcode would be needed for both locations to look at predicted reception and which transmitter(s) and multiplexes you might receive.

Because of the potential limited reception you are likely to find BT TV will also be very limited except for some of their special channels like BT Sport which is streamed and you'd need a good internet connection with a large data allowance (or no limit).

All will be somewhat less than the choice you have with Sky. What Sky box do you have?
As long as it isn't SkyQ where if you terminate your subscription, they want the box back (and it will stop working), with an older box and you are out of contract you might be able to receive Freesat from Sky (you might need a viewing card for a one-off fee - I'm no expert on Sky, hopefully a Sky expert will come along and advise).

In your situation I wouldn't recommend BT TV unless you particularly wanted some of its streamed channels that are not available on Freeview or Freesat,
Freesat is your other option. If you have a fairly modern TV, it may have a satellite tuner built -in, in which case, as long as it's not SkyQ, you might find with connection of your Sky dish to the TV, you can get Freesat (no cards or subscription). If the TV doesn't have a Satellite tuner you'd need a Freesat Box - again as long as it's not SkyQ, I think your Sky dish will work but hopefully someone more knowledgeable in this area can advise.

M Walker: West Runton is a Freeview lite transmitter, which only broadcasts around 20 SD and 6 HD channels, whereas at your caravan you must be receiving the full Freeview service from a main transmitter. BT TV combines Freeview channels received via your aerial with subscription channels delivered via your broadband connection, so whilst you would get all of BT's subscription channels as long as you have a reliable broadband connection, you wouldn't get all of the free to air commercial channels you currently get via your Sky box.

You could cancel your Sky subscription and still receive all of the free to air channels via your Sky box, however you would be unable to record (or playback any previous recordings) as Sky require an active subscription in order to use the Sky+ recording functionality. If you have a Sky Q box, these are only provided on loan from Sky and must be returned if you are no longer a subscriber, otherwise Sky will deactivate the box, whilst also charging a non-return fee (and still insist it is returned anyway). The non-return does not apply if you have a Sky+/HD box which remains yours to do as you wish with.

If you provide a full postcode, we can check whether you might be able to receive more channels from another transmitter, which may make your decision easier.

Well there you are, StevensOnln1 was typing his reply not knowing I was doing mine at the same time and has covered the Sky issues.
So as we've both said, full postcodes to look at predicted reception, but your decision may in any event be easier with the information we've both posted.

When will you start transmitting Cannel 236 GB News? I'm in NR27 Cromer area and despite retuning still can not pick it up?
