Going digtal in June. Pensioner neighbour has excellent quality picture TV which is 20 years old and wants to keep it. She has a modern video recorder with scart connections but her TV has no connections other than the aerial plug in. How can she use this set for digital TV. The pensioner is 70 years of age.

David McGill: It will be necessary to obtain a freeview box with an in-built RF modulator. The output of the box can then be viewed via the aerial socket on the tv.

Given the Ofcom report about 4G on channels 61 and above, can those using this transmitter expect problems with interference.

I have a non-standard arrangement with two aerials - one at the front of the flat pointing towards Blackhill and one at the back of the flat pointing towards Glasgow West Central for my kitchen TV. I am just wondering if I would be better splitting the downlead on the main aerial to feed both sets. I was advised against this before because of the low strength of the digital signal at that time but could I get away with it now? I want to avoid an aerial amplifier.

Briantist: Thanks. It looks like keeping one aerial for each set but reorienting the aerial at the rear towards the main Blackhill transmitter would be the best approach.
