One has carried out the recommended procedures but the service is now only a fraction of what it was and the quality is extremely poor.

Of course one wants to know why.

The screen prompt was to retune; why, when ruddy awful service is the net result?

Re: Alan Coldham
You are most potbelly only getting a week signal from Heathfield or Crystal Palace.
From the 30 of May the Heathfield power will increase and the Haywards Heath transmitter will start.
You won't get a signal from Midhurst
as the hill in Franklands Village will block your signal.
Is your aerial pointing to Sussex Square roundabout, north to London or east to Heathfield.

According to the web page at;

BBC Two analogue ends at midnight and BBCA/PSB1 will start by 6:00am for Haywards Heath and Heathfield. But times can change on the day, if they have problems. (RH163LB)

Fred STreeter: I think that the problem you have is that the Steyning relay transmitter uses the same channel as the "SDN" multiplex from Midhurst. It will stay like this until October of this year when Midhurst SDN will change channel.

See here a response I wrote to Andrew at BN44 3TB: Freeview on Midhurst TV transmitter | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice

See here under the heading "After switchover configuration" (you may need to refresh by pressing F5 to see the graphic):

Freeview multiplexes | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice

This gives the six multiplexes and explains which services are carried on each.

As you can see, SDN carries ITV3, ITV2+1, %*, 5USE, Quest and Channel 5+1, plus some others, including radio.

A more comprehensive list is here:

DMOL Post-DSO Multiplex Channel Allocations (BN44 3TB)
