Peter: Although I might well have missed this somewhere along the line and I apologise if I have, but on reading all of your back postings I cant say I noticed you having mentioned anything about the result of a "manual" tune having being carried out on Ch52, so the question would be have you actually tried this? or if not, is there a reason for not having done like maybe your box not allowing it?
By the way, what model of device are you using?

I have a Humax fox T2 PVR just recently bought also a Samsung full hd tv I tried channel 52 and it finds nothing at all on manual tune, Sony TV is not very current but flat screen but has very little options, everything that has been suggested I've tried but nothing seems to works so it may be an aerial company may be needed but am trying to do that as a very last resort, funny thing is an aerial that is new is in a garden lower than ours in the loft and it's facing Heathfield.

Peter: Could it be the roof-tiles blocking the signal too much? Have you tried pointing the aerial out of the window (even if it's lower than the loft you are fitting it in)?

I can only receive PSB 1,2,& 3 from the South Cliff Tower. Are the other channels being broadcast from this transmitter?
link to this comment |
Alan Reed: No, Eastbourne South Tower is a Public Service relay only. This is because the Commercial broadcasters don't wish to pay to transmit from small sites like this because they consider it not worth the expense.

Eastbourne
very confused about freeview in eastbourne since switch over.
Live BN22 8TB.
Want to get freeview but dont have a tv aerial yet...so not sure...
1. which type of aerial to buy..eg do i need a high gain? or what category of aerial to use.seems very confusing out there..
2. where to point the aerial to get the best range of channels..heathfield, hastings or the 2 transmitters now in eastbourne. Know down our road aerials seem to point in different directions.
If anybody has any advice that would be great so i can get started.
THANKS!!!!!!!!!!
