TN38 9RS Hollington Park.
It's been working perfectly, right until Sunday morning, nothing changed.

Sometimes before HD channels were a little flaky if the weather was windy etc but otherwise rock solid.
All other channels work fine, just the psb1 bbca as I noted. Seems unlikely coincidence it's just these channels that are messed up.

PeterP: If your TV has manual tuning on then use it. Having entered or selected the UHF channel do not press the button to scan as on most receivers this acts as a signal meter. HD broadcasts in the UK use DVB-T2 mode whereas standard definition broadcasts use DVB-T mode. If the manual tune function has a mode option then ensure that it is the right one.

Hollington Park HD is C55 and Hastings is C22. I doubt you will pick up from Heathfield with a set-top aerial as you are at the bottom of high ground which blocks your view.

Dave, thanks :) the ch22/ch55 put me on the right track to finding the problem.
Copy of my post in Hastings transmitte:

Thanks, I'm onto something :) with helpful hints from Hollington Pk thread.

Seems I'm not on Hollington park (bad reception despite being close) but Hastings.

The problem is when I use auto tuning it uses ch24 for bbca when it should be using ch25.
Why this has changed I don't know, and as I said was fine before. All good now though until next glitch.

My tv has an LNA setting, it now says 25 and it's on. Before it was 22 I think. How it got to this ??? I can't see any way to even set it. does ch22 transmit the wrong info to tell my tv how to tune?

So, I did a test, Turned it off again and did a rescan. Still managed to set itself to 25.

I can't set a 'zone' i.e. Kent, but i do have digital auto service update. Clearly something got out of whack, whether it be a mistake or a different transmitter ot something I don't know. No local transmitters with 24 at all, so it's a mystery :)
Tv is 1yr old Sony bravia with latest firmware etc. no changes before problem at all!

PeterP: Perhaps BBCA on C24 is Rowridge, the main transmitter which is on the Isle of Wight. It is very surprising that you are picking this up indoors with a set-top aerial.

Hollington Park only carries PSB (Public Service) channels. The Hastings transmitter is roughly on the same bearing, is more powerful and carries PSB and COM (Commercial) channels.

Perhaps the low power of Hollington Park and the clutter that is in the way - trees and bricks and mortar - means your indoor aerial doesn't pick it up. However, you may find that your rooftop aerial picks it up, it being on the same bearing, vertically polarised and with, I assume, a much clearer view of the Hollington Park transmitter.

Agree.
That or Mountfield which is very close had a hiccup and reset itself to the pre-switchover c24! Thanks again. Radio 6 in glorious 128kbps.
