Jo W: As Hutton doesn't carry those multiplexes, you will be getting them from Mendip or Wenvoe.

You can usually resolve the "not storing" problem by doing this: My Freeview box has no EPG, is blank on FIVE, ITV3, ITV4, ITV2+1, has no sound or the channel line up is wrong | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .

Dear Sir or Madam

URGENT

You will find there is now a serious problem with access to your mast for larger vehicles. The landowner opposite has placed a row of large boulders along the south side of the lane opposite yous (and mine) entrance ways. I believe they have no right to do this. They claim ownership of the roadside kerb. Please look into this, I'm sure your companies word and might will carry more sway with the local authorities than mine. Many thanks Michael Sanders (owner of no. 23 Windmill Hill Windmill Hill)

Michael Sanders:

You would do better to address your concerns to both Arqiva (who operate the transmitters) at Contact Us and your local authority.

This website has no responsibility for any broadcasting service or equipment as it is intended to offer mainly technical advice to resolve reception problems.

We are in Winscombe, Somerset and have 2 aerials; we receive our signal through the Wenvoe and Hutton transmitters. We use our TV through a Humax Freeview recorder.
Today (7th April) we are having problems receiving the BBC channels. The picture keeps freezing temporarily.
If we select Wales region when retuning, all is fine; if we select England then West we get the problem as described. All channels other than BBC seem fine.
Please note that we retuned as we were all required to do on 4th April and all was fine then.

Hello,

A week or two ago we were told to retune our TV after work had been carried out. Since then, it only picks up BBC Wales channels and has interference on these. I have tried erasing channels and retuning again but still we only receive Wales, whereas we're in the 'West' region and usually get these. ITV is fine.

If someone could advise, that would be much appreciated.

Kind regards,

Abbie

Abbie:

You need to manually tune to the Hutton transmitter channels; 21, 24 & 27. You need to have Group A or T aerial with the small rods vertical.

MikeP:

Hi Mike,

I've tried doing this. CH21 (BBC channels) is only going up to about 3/4 on the signal strength and not finding any channels. We have a T' aerial I believe.

Thanks,

Abbie

Abbie:

Go to the Digital UK Covergae Checker at http://www.digitaluk.co.u…er/, put in yopur full post code and house name/number, select the Detailed View option then press Go.

Scroll down the reslting listings to your chosen transmitter and check what they suggest is the reception conditions. If all the bars are green then your reception should be good. If it is not then check all your aerial connections, unplugging any coaxial plugs/sockets and then refit them. Then check your signal strengths again. If they are below 60% then you may need to have your aerial checked in case it have moved perhaps.
