Brendan: According to Digital UK's postcode checker, you should be getting excellent reception from both Divis and Carnmoney Hill post DSO, as well as the NI mux from Black Mountain and Carnmoney Hill.

Dave could be right, though this shouldn't affect Film Four at this stage.

The BBC 1 and BBC 2 problem could be caused by signal overload, so you may need to get someone out to either remove/bypass an amplifier, or fit an attenuator.

Gail: I've no idea as I don't know what the set up proceedures are on your T.V.

However, after the 24th there should be no need to switch to analogue T.V. as all analogue signals will be switched off on that date.

I presume you are receiving Carnmoney Hill as this is the first time you've actually had Freeview stations ?

Wait until next Wednesday when you'll no longer need analogue T.V.

Gail: If you are sure that you saved the chanels picked up during a Freeview auto-tune as not all TV's / boxes will automatically save them, then you should completely reset your TV by carrying out a "factory reset", sometimes known as "default setting" then follow this with a normal auto-tune.

If this does not cure the problem then please indicate the model of TV or box in question, although I would wait until after October 24th when switchover is complete before making any alterations, as you would have to carry out a rescan then anyway.

David: Read the posting I made above to norm on Friday 2 November 2012 12:38PM !!

Digital UK suggests your area might be "marginal variable" and not "served". Not sure whether the motorway traffic crossing the path could add to your woes.

If you do go for Divis, then use a Group A aerial rather than a wideband one as they are not as good on Group A channels.

See for information:

6 MUX Digital TV Transmitters

(Other suppliers are available but ATV is a good source of information.)
