It would seem that the last 2 Mux's for Rouncefall will be completed by 1st Aug 2018. I believe all 6 Mux's will transit at 4KW.

There seems to be a lot of engineering going on in the last month or so. Can any Transmitter engineering sources confirm this work is in relation to the completion of the remaining 2 muxes. 29 & 31

Mark: COM4 & COM5 are due to start broadcasting from Rouncefall on 1st August according to Digital UK, so that does seem likely.

I live a mile from this transmitter and am receiving a London signal but no Anglia south east in my conservatory dispirited I purchased and indoor aerial tuned that in and still had no signal your chart is showing no problem but I have no signal from 2 different aerials therefore it must be a transmission problem could you please fix it.

Adrian Smith: If you can't receive a signal on your aerial then there is no chance that you will be able to receive it on an indoor aerial. If you could provide a full postcode and confirm if the existing aerial is mount on the roof or in the loft, or somewhere else then we can take a look a the predicted coverage at your location and somebody may be able to offer further advice.

Nobody else is reporting a problem, so it is extremely unlikely that there is anything wrong with the transmitter. As this is an independent technical help website, nobody here has anything to do with any broadcaster or the transmitter company, so nobody here can fix any transmitter fault.

A couple of points to note here, coverage maps aren't always that accurate and there appears there may be some dead spots which is why a full postcode is needed to get a more accurate estimate/prediction of coverage.
Depending on your location there could be 4 or 5 transmitters you might pick up with varying degrees of success.
Despite the page title, Rouncefall is not a "Light" transmitter it has all 6 multiplexes as per the table under 1 Aug 2018 towards the top of the page (but not COM8 that's an error).

If you are getting London signals and not Anglia you could be tuned to the wrong UHF channels, or in a deadish spot for Rouncefall. Try manual tuning.

Which direction is your main aerial pointing and are the rods (or squashed Xs) horizontal? Are you pointing the indoor aerial in the same direction?

Adrian Smith:

Blimey, what a mishmash of reception in your locale. The only "region" with predicted excellent and good reception is Anglia, either from the Rouncefall or Sudbury transmitters. there are 6 transmitter in total you are predicted to be able to receive, none of the other 4 (Dover, Crystal Palace, Bluebell Hill and Gillingham Test Centre) are predicted to give good reception across all multiplexes.

You haven't said which way your aerial is pointing! For Rouncefall it should be bearing 303 degrees that's slightly W of WNW, for Sudbury it's bearing 6 degrees that fractionally E of due N.
But I would suggest if the have a CAI old class 2 aerial pointing at Rouncefall which is between 1km and 1 mile away, then unless you are using splitters to feed several rooms you could well be having signal overload as the transmitter is 4kW! I would have expected you to be able to pick it up on an indoor aerial provided you have a relatively unobstructed view WNW.

Check in your TV's tuning section which UHF channels you are actually tuned to and also check what the signal and quality (or error) figures are for each channel.
