Please check that your TV is tuned to the correct transmitter signals.
Please would you give a full post code so that we can check which transmitter(s) are suitable and whether any have reception problems at your exact location.

Transmitter engineering: is there a problem with HD transmissions from Eyemouth. Many outages over the past few months. Sony tv channel 101 BBC Scotland has been replaced by BBC 1 HD. Channel 804 that normally has BBC 1HD is displaying ZDF

Put your post code into the Digital UK Coverage Checker at Digital UK - Coverage checker That will tell you if there are any problems and what channels are being used. If you also check at http://www.digitaluk.co.u…ngs, it will tell you what channels are available at your location.
There are no reported problems with the transmittter so it is worth checking all the connections between your aerial and TV.

MikeP: Despite there being no reported problems there have been many outages in the past few days.
Could this be because of high atmospheric pressure causing poor signal strength?
N.B Outages only on BBC channels, ITV unaffected

As stated, there are no engineering works reported on the Eyemouth transmitter.
You may well be suffering from tropospheric lift conditions which can affect one, some or all of the transmissions, depending on the frequencies being used and how they are being affected by the natural phenomenon. DO NOT RETUNE. Patience is a virtue in these circumstances as nothing can be done about the effects that have been known for over 50 years.

The BBC are reporting a fault.
Whilst the BBC have reported fault details on their individual transmitter page, they have not (yet?) added it to a page which is an engineering list of Freeview faults which is where the updates to this site come from.
From 4:45:19pm to 4:46:49pm on 26th Nov 2021 BBC A / BBCB HD Off the air due to a fault
From 6:59:19pm on 26th Nov 2021 BBC A / BBCB HD Off the air due to a fault
This is most likely due to one of the many power outages caused by storm Arwen.
Statement from BBC Engineering -
Interruptions to television and radio services due to Storm Arwen
Severe weather is causing problems with electricity supplies to several transmitters across the UK. Regional electricity suppliers are working hard to restore services. You can check the status of your local transmitter using our transmitter checker tool.
While you're waiting you could try BBC iPlayer or BBC Sounds to carry on watching or listening to your favourite programmes. They are both available on Smart televisions and many other internet connected devices.
Keep up with the latest weather in your area.
You can probably find out more about power outages in your area from Welcome to SP Energy Networks - SP Energy Networks but I note their website is being updated as I post.

The Eyemouth TV transmitter is once again down today 27/10/2023. Will someone please tell whoever runs this transmitter to get their act together. It is bad enough that it does not even transmit half of the Freeview channels. This is 2023 not 1923.

Alan Clerk: BBC Reception [bbc.co.uk/reception] carries reports on the two BBC multiplexes, PSB1 (BBC A) and PSB3 (BBC B). At the present time, for Eyemouth it has these four entries:
---
Timestamp: From 4:00pm to 4:13pm on 27th Oct 2023
Multiplex: BBC A
Status: Off the air due to a fault
---
Timestamp: From 10:15am to 4:00pm on 27th Oct 2023
Multiplex: BBC A
Status: Off the air due to essential engineering
---
Timestamp: From 4:00pm to 4:13pm on 27th Oct 2023
Multiplex: BBC B HD
Status: Off the air due to a fault
---
Timestamp: From 10:15am to 4:00pm on 27th Oct 2023
Multiplex: BBC B HD
Status: Off the air due to essential engineering
---
According to this, it was off air for 13 minutes from exactly 4 o'clock this afternoon. It does say that this was "due to a fault", but judging by the fact that there are also reports of "essential engineering" it suggests there are engineers on site and we might speculate that they needed to turn it off for the short period.
