Briantist: Thank you for that web page, I've not seen it before and I now know why I'm getting the extra channels as I said before they only appeared today after my box took me to retune. The thing I've now found out is that Sky News is no longer tuned in, but that is not a problem.
Once again thank you very much for your kind help
Cheers

Paul: I'm not sure what the reason could be, but it does give you Channel 4 HD, which makes you one of a very select few to have five Freeview HD channels.
Always happy to help.

Hallo Briantist. We have been receiving all channels satisfactorily by Freeview from the Wenvoe transmitter. We watch ITV3 a good deal and this breaks up sometimes when the atmospheric pressure is high. Just recently we've had poor reception on all the channels and ITV3 has all but disappeared. This was how it was when the Wenvoe transmitter wasn't operating on full power before switchover. Although we live close to Wenvoe (in Cowbridge) we live under the lip of a hill and require amplification equipment to boost the signal. Is there anything wrong with Wenvoe at the moment? I thought it was transmitting all multiplexes at 70,000 watts or more - but now it seems down to 50,000 and that isn't enough power it seems to reach us. Have you any suggestions?

Fannie: As it says above " SDN at Wenvoe is expected to operate temporarily on channel 51 (at 10kW ERP), and Arqiva A to temporarily operate on channel 30 (at 10kW ERP), until 2011 "

Briantist,
Sorry for delay in reply.
By the looks of it I'm lucky to get it as you say. Tis really odd that my box asked to be re-tuned and it was there.
Are well beggars can't be chosers or so they say. lol
