Briantist.
Have done some checking around by me and it look's like for some reason my problem is that I'm not only missing Sky News but everything on MUX COM4 SDN. I just did a retune and it detected 8 carriers not 9 and the above is missing from me and others by me
cheers

Paul: You either receive a multiplex or not, you can't receive a bit of it, that is impossible.

Have you done this - My Freeview box has no EPG, is blank on FIVE, ITV3, ITV4, ITV2+1, has no sound or the channel line up is wrong | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice ?

Briantist: Yes I did the above procedure but alas no joy.
Thank you very much for your help, I'm going to give it a miss for a while to see if it will sort it's self out on its own. But I will say this, Ive only had this problem since I was able to pick up Ch4 HD. lol
cheers

Hi Brian,

Yesterday I received notice from Digital UK that the frequency changes you mention above will happen on 27th April, Channels on 51 will move to 42 & channels on 30 will move to 45 bringing Wenvoe firmly into group B .
The event description is "COM mux power up & frequency change" but it neglects to mention what the erp will be for these mux's after this retune.

Mark Aberfan Aerials: I'll change the note. I presume they will go to 50kW.

Also, Ofcom have it listed as C42+ for COM4.

I'm currently receiving my freeview signal from the mynydd bach transmitter. My post code is CF82 7DR. I've been experimenting with an aerial in the loft and tried to pick up wenvoe. I've successfully picked up channels 41, 44 and 49. The digital uk website suggested I wouldn't pick up 49 until next year so that was a surprise. If I change my aerial should I be able to pick up the other muxes? Thanks Marc.

Marc Howells: On 27th April 2011 Mux SDN changes frequency to C42+ and Mux ArqA to C45. The digital UK postcode checker shows you should have good reception of those two muxes from that date. As you say reception of C49 is expected to improve in 2012. A group B aerial will give the best pick up of the Wenvoe frequencies after 27th April.

Hi Brian, I believe your current Cxx listings for ARQA and SDN are based on the future plans which should come into play on the 27th April from what I can tell.

At the moment, ARQA is on C30 at 10kw and SDN is on C51 also at 10kw. Fingers crossed when they move to their bumped strengths, my little indoor powered aerial in CF10 will have a bit more luck with them. The joys of city centre living, 5 storeys up but no central aerials in the buildings!
