Alan Campbell: As the VCR has no digital tuner, they are no longer any use for recording. If you want to record Freeview, you need a Freeview+ box.

Alan Campbell: If you wish to record material on the video recorders this can only be done by (1) providing an analogue signal via the aerial socket on the VCR if you wish to record via the VCR's tuner or (2) connecting a source such as a Freeview box or Sky box to the scart socket on the VCR and selecting A/V when recording. If you connect the Freeview box of the analogue tv to the VCR via a scart lead you will be able to record the same programme that you are watching on the tv.

iain: Please can you see Single frequency interference | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice . As this is a public service transmitter, you will only get two multiplexes, unless you have a Freeview HD box or TV where you will also get the HD services.

Have you dropped the signal strength to the (FEW) non BBC channels we have. My C5 picture is really poor compared to when the switchover happened, and I keep getting the weak signal banner when trying to watch.
I know you are mainly BBC funded, but I don't watch many BBc programs, and as a licence payer I expect the same quality on other channels despite not liking the BBC

So much for this page automatically updating every minute.
Says no transmitter problems reported, yet I have been having problems for hours and when you look at the BBc page it says the transmitter is DOWN!!

Won't expect an update anytime soon of when I might get a picture again then. Saturday night rock in Dumbarton when your housebound and reliant on the crapest transmitter in the UK

It would seem Millburn Muir has been down since 20.11 tonight, any ideas what the problem is or was and so soon after switchover hope this is not signs of things to come.Maybe we should get a discount as it is a poor and week signal supplied to the licence payers in this area

Briantist:
I STAY IN BALLOCH AND CAN ONLY GET LIMITED CHANNELS FROM Millburn Muir
WHY DINT THEY UPGRADE THE Millburn Muir TRASMITTER BEFORE THEY CHANGED OVER TO DIGITAL FREEVIEW
WAS IT GOING TO COST TO MUCH
OVER THE HILL AT ROSNEATH (WHICH GET ALL THE CHANNELS) IS LESS THAN 10 MILES AWAY
I AM QUIT SHURE THE COULD PROVIDED A BETTER SERVICE THAN WHAT THEY ARE GIVING JUST NOW

PS IS THERE GOING TO BE ANY FUTHER UPGRADE TO MILLBURN MUIR TRANSMITTER IN THE NEAR FUTURE
