Mike Davies: Retunes are necessary if you want new (or moved) channels to appear on your TV. There will be a major retune on Thursday this week relating to the BBC's temporary Olympic services. You can always ignore retune notices and just retune manually if a channel you want to watch is affected.

Why doesn't Kilvey Hill transmit the extra HD channels? Does anyone know when it will, or indeed will it ever transmit them?

Neil Jenkins: No, there aren't. Those channels are broadcast on the COM7 and COM8 multiplexes which are temporary services covering around 75% of the population from 30 transmitters and are expected to close in 2020.

frank: S4C HD is only available on Sky and Freesat, I have no idea why it is listed for this transmitter but it is definitely an error.

Hector: The transmitter is probably fine (you can check) - they dont go wrong for two weeks. But if you keep losing muxes, thats your aerial system. You need to check it.
