From a viewer in Llantarnam, Cwmbran.
Yesterday all freeview channels available. Today from at least 0930 to 1630 no bbc signal being received, reception on all other freeview channels fine. All the bbc will do is log my problem. Have checked for transmitter problems on the bbc website. No problems reported! Any ideas ?

John:It could be that the signals from Stockland Hill which is co-channel with Pontypool are blocking reception of the signals from Wales. The Digital UK postcode checker shows good reception for Stockland Hill at your location on the PSB1 and PSB2 muxes. A weak signal from Wenvoe might be available, a good quality group B aerial would give the best chance of receiving this.

Hi John,
You should have itv1+1 on channel 33 If you have pontpool & mendip aerials joined on one cable you may fnd that the english channels from mendip are stronger so your box/tv gives them priority, check all the 800 numbers as some equipment places extra (weaker) channels on these numbers.

Hi I upgraded to Freeiview HD at christmas time 2010 and since doing so the HD channels have been very unreliable they will be fine for weeks then out of the blue they will be no signal or unwatchable due to break ups.
The SD channels are perfect but all the HD channels currently are no signal or unwatchable and this has been the case since approx 5:00pm Saturday 18th March.
Since then I have had no HD channels either no signal or stutter stutter stutter.
My equipment is fine I have had it tested so it must be transmitter signal strength reduction or unplanned work for the past few weeks if this doesn't improve I have no choice but to go to freesat for proper reliable HD channels.
Any input appreciated.
Cwmbran.
