Sirena: You should try resetting your box by carrying a "factory reset" or "default setting" as this will delete the tuners memory store, then once complete carry out a normal auto-tune then check if the problem has vanished.

If though the problem is still there then please indicate the model number of the device in question.

Graham T Jones: There was no retune required for viewers of Tay Bridge. The message was put out by Angus transmitters and therefore its relays, of which Tay Bridge is one. The message here in Yorkshire was that viewers may need to retune, owing to the fact that not all transmitters were due to have changes that required it.

If you are receiving from Tay Bridge and you have BBC services and you are missing some then you can only be missing STV, Channel 4, Channel 5 etc, so manually tune UHF channel 47. If this is a HD set then those services are on UHF channel 44.

Grr so annoying. I've just moved house literally a 4 minute walk up the road and I've ended up with this freeview light transmitter. I've known about this for years but I always thought they would've upgraded it by now. Is there anyway I could get my box to pick up the Angus transmitter? The one that offers full freeview to houses in the next streets from mine? Is there like a cut off line or something? I live closer to the Tay bridge than I do Angus but I've always lived closer to Tay bridge than Angus and never had a problem, honestly can't believe it.

The coverage checkers state that Angus transmitter is my 'alternative' one and that I should get full coverage from this transmitter but unfortunately I'm picking up the crappy one, they should allow you to chose... I'm probably just going to have to get a freesat box or something but yeah this is disappointing.

Liam: If the coverage checker shows good reception to be possible from both Tay Bridge and Angus the signal available to your tv tuner will be governed by the position/polarisation/orientation and group of the aerial connected to it. Subject to there not being any local obstructions in the signal path, such as trees or tall buildings, reception from Angus will require a group T aerial set for horizontal polarisation and pointing to the Angus mast. Back in the days of analogue transmissions Tay Bridge was the preferred option for viewers who could receive both transmitters as only Tay Bridge radiated Channel 5.

I am resident of Tayport a few miles away from the Tay Bridge transmitter at Inverdovat. I have not had any problems with the DVB signal strength until the last 2/3 weeks. Now I am getting intermittent picture break-up, especially on BBC1 and BBC2.

Does anybody know if the Tay Bridge transmitter has undergone any recent changes or is currently operating on reduced output power?
