Hi, why is there no programme info shown for ITV1HD? I first noticed this during the Rugby World Cup coverage. but it is still like that now. I am using a Humax recorder.

Intermittent reception all day. Not just to our TVs but others in my area too. Sa48 7pp. Blaenplwf transmitter. Happens only 2-3 times a year but allegedly never a problem with transmitters.

Kevin sweet / Et-al : Conditions in the troposphere associated with areas of high pressure is presently affecting reception in numerous areas of the UK, the Western side of the country in particular, the effect of being either a complete loss of reception or the reception of some channels and not others.

Unfortunately these conditions are forecast on the Hepburn Tropo index chart as not clearing the UK until next Thursday Nov 3rd, albeit variable conditions are expected between now and then. The main point about this being *not* to retune your equipment as all this will do is to blank out everything stored in the tuner, this then requiring a series of retunes to find out if they have returned, an action not previously required as the channels would have returned of their own accord.

Rita: The problem referred to is most likely caused by tropospheric conditions associated with areas of high pressure, as its presently affecting reception in numerous other areas of the UK, albeit Southern areas in particular, the effect of being either a complete loss of reception, or reception of some channels and not others.

Unfortunately nothing can be done to alleviate this problem as its a natural occurrence, the main thing to remember being *not* to retune your TV or box, as the signal will return on its own when conditions improve whereas *not* if a retune was carried out, as this action blanks out everything stored in the tuner, frequent retunes then being required to find out if reception has returned to normal.

Ian:

There are no reported problems with the BlaenPwlyf transmitter currently.

Check your signal strength top ensure it is between 50% and 85% on the HD services.

Lots of problems in Pwllheli and Lleyn area. Cannot believe that there is no work being done somewhere.

This has been going on for a week.
