Thanks steven I just saw the notice all I really wanted was confirmation it was indeed a transmitter problem and not my equipment and now I have it. Its still continuing but I keep getting 10-15 mins then blackout. At one point around 2am I think I got about an hour. Its all channels though not just the bbc as the notice suggests. I will just have to be patient. Thanks again for replying its good to know someone is out there lol

jimmy: The notice only mentions BBC because it originates from BBC Engineering, who don't issue notices about any channels or multiplexes other than their own. I'm not aware that any of the other PSB/commercial broadcasters offer a similar service.

There has also been Planned Engineering at the transmitter over the week with "Possible service interruptions ". Again, they never say/know how long each event may last.

Can anyone advise me. Channel 4+1 has changed to ch45 and according to this page....Which Freeview channels does the Millburn Muir transmitter broadcast? I should be able to get it so I tried a retune and it doesn't seem to pick it up. Is the page wrong or is it me doing something wrong? Its the milburn muir transmitter I pick up which is a freeview light transmitter.

I'm not sure if you misread the list above but Channel4+1 is on 15 and is on the D3&4 multiplex which you should be/are getting. I haven't checked the accuracy of the listing for other channels which may be out of date here as the site owner has not kept up with all changes.
Information about Film4+1 (LCN45) & More4+1 (LCN86) may be out of date in various places as they have moved last week multiplexes to ArqA/COM5 & COM7 respectively, which are not broadcast from "Light" transmitters. E4+1 (LCN28) currently on ArqA/COM5 is due to move on the 14th but no details have been provided by Channel4 or Freeview.

This list Channel listings | Freeview should be the definitive list as to which channels are on which multiplex, but at time of posting it has NOT been updated for the Film4+1 and More4+1 changes !!

Chris

Thanks......I made a mistake I meant Film 4+1 but I see you have answered me about that lol.

I think I will phone a local aerial specialist and see if I can somehow get a feed from Blackhill in Glasgow because I am "just" out of range and I see the tenement across the road from me someone has an aerial with a masthead amp and its pointing towards Glasgow whereas Millburn Muir the aerials point in the opposite direction. Its getting a bit grim using this MM transmitter.

Thanks again for your help and speed of response!

If you provide a full postcode, we can have a look to see what your predicted reception might be. There are patches around that area that can get Black Hill.
