ian polke: You havn't imputted a postcode into the site, so we have no idea where you are in relation to the transmitter.

Also you've simply described a picture breakup - but you need to find out if:

a) The transmitter your tuned into is the one you are supposed to

b) What the signal strength/quality is of the signals your getting, and on what muxes. You have Sony and a Panasonic - too high a signal (90-95%) is as bad as too little, and you need to check which one. If it is too low, then you will get breakup, and then you need to find out why.

Biggest single reason is that your system has a problem - perhaps a lose connection or broken cable. Does that problem come and go?

You list 103 on the Carmel transmitter as being ITV HD Central West, yet we get ITV Wales HD.

Huw: Premier Sports is a subscription channel and is not available on Freeview. Freesports is broadcast on the temporary COM8 multiplex which (along with COM7) covers around 70% of UK households from 30 main transmitters and is expected to close in the next few years when the 700MHz band is handed over to the mobile networks. None of the broadcasters on COM7/8 have announced what the long term plans are for their channels, but you could try contacting them and ask.

Kingston Bailey:

Looking at the Digital UK Coverage Checker for that location, at Coverage Checker - Detailed View shows that you would be best served with a wideband aerial (there are planned changes to the channels used next year) and it should be mounted for horizontal polarisation and at a bearing of 61 degrees.

The page linked to above also shows the channels in use now and from mid next year.

Hope that helps?
