i have integrated freeview,when i swich between analogue and digital the analogue presentation is of normal natural proportion,but freeview is too great in height,which results in scenes being unnatural...eg snooker balls are oval in the vertical plain,people are too tall..this is generally true of ther freeview progs.except channel 21(viva) and channel 22 ideal world where correct proportion is the case why? i have no adjustment to change these erroneous channels,is the transmission incorrect,will it soon be fixed

The transmission are perfectly correct, it is your end that needs adjustment.

At 7:45pm last night (Sunday 6th Feb) I lost reception on the HD channels; PVR says 0% signal on Ch39; others sit at 60% signal, 100% quality.
Any reasons why?

London W14, My Freeview HD channels were working fine on Friday but no reception Saturday & Sunday. In the past they have also dissapeared for a few days & then come back. Any suggestions

Thanks Brian for your quick reply.
It's only the HDMux on Ch39 (Emley Moor) which is affected and I was recording an HD channel at the time, the picture became progressively worse over 2-3 mins then quit. As I say the signal strength is now 0%.
Nothing was changed in the house which could account for the Single Frequency Interference you pointed me to?

Mike: It is, as I said to Ray, probably being caused by the High Pressure over the UK at the moment, causing the Inversion Effect. What is the Inversion Effect and why does it effect my Freeview TV reception?
| ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice . This is always going to effect the low-power HD transmissions.
This problem will be more-or-less eliminated at switchover.
