Picture is rubbish tonight on ITV1, C4, C5 etc nothing wrong with BBC channels, not my digital powered aerial or two LCD tv's what is the problem (4 Jan 2011) my post code HG1 4BS (Harrogate) all the meter equipment says Emley Moor is the most powerful signal, and I have re-tuned so many times I am on the verge of getting cable as it's alsways poor. Unable to watch the very pixelated pictures, very poor - never have a problem with Beeb or Dave regardless of snow, wind or earthquakes!!!

Ed Blythe: "digital powered aerial"? That sounds like an indoor aerial device. It never works well with digital television - the signal drops too much as it travels through the walls and too many reflections occur.

You always get best results with a properly installed roof-top aerial.

Things might improve for indoor aerial use after switchover.

Digital UK's postcode checker actually says you should get best results from Bilsdale at that postcode.

MickyDee,you need a separate Freeview HD Set top box, unless your TV Freeview is HD.
I have a Humax HD stb, which is connected via
HDMI Lead, which I am satisfied with. You can also get simalar HD STB that you can also record onto internal discs. Hope that answers your queary?
