Leek

SB: Using ST13 5DR as a nominal post code, coverage is possible from both Fenton and the local Leek relay.
DUK's postcode predictor shows that you can't receive the COM MUXs from Fenton - this is because they are co-channel with Fenton's PSB MUXs (which makes reception of Fenton non-ideal, hence orange colour on DUK trade view).
Reception from Leek PSBs is shown as good (but no COM MUXs transmitted from there).
Your receiver may be able to indicate the UHF channel numbers you are receiving at present (Fenton: 24 & 27, Leek: 25, 22 for BBC A & D3&4 respectively).
Sutton Coldfield shows all green, but would depend on your location in Leek, and you'd need a horizontally polarised aerial (Group B or wideband) pointing slightly east of south.

I hope someone can help with my freeview problem. Prior to the recent retune I managed to get pretty much perfect reception via my freeview box, after adjusting my aerial. However after the latest retune, due to switchover, my picture freezes a great deal and is not really watchable much of the time. The aerial has not been touched. My post code is ST5 8RQ and I am using the Fenton Transmitter, any help appreciated. Thank you.

Lee: Perhaps the signal going into your receiver is too high now. You are just less than 5 miles from the transmitter.

Thanks for your answer Dave, my freeview is watchable in the evening but not so in the morning. When I rescan I can also find 10 frequencies but the box only stores 6 of them for some reason.

I've noticed how if I go to this page: Find out how to receive Freeview and Freeview HD | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice with my postcode of LL11 5FQ, it shows when I click on the Fenton transmitter, the coverage area map shows that it covers patches of west and South Wrexham, Rhosllanerchrugog, Selattyn, Oswestry, Whitchurch, Malpas, Telford, Wolverhampton, Dudley, Tarporley, Halton, Billinge and areas South-East of Uttoxeter as well as the expected coverage area around Stoke-On-Trent.

From this link I am on for posting this message: Freeview on Fenton TV transmitter | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice the coverage area map of Fenton is far more reduced and does not appear to cover any of those areas listed above and only appears to cover all of Stoke and other parts of Staffordshire and not much else.

So which of those coverage area maps is correct?
The one at the top of this page or the one that is displayed for my Postcode?
Hope somebody can tell me.
Thanks. (LL115FQ)

Stuart O.: Perhaps both is correct. From Fenton, the Commercial multiplexes are at half power with respect to the Public Service ones.

If you go to the plot on the Fenton TV transmitter page (the one at the top of this page), you can select the different multiplexes and see their expected coverage.

The page Find out how to receive Freeview and Freeview HD | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice only shows those that have the greatest coverage. (LL115FQ)

About two weeks before the olympics started I got a message on screen saying there might be some dissruption due to more red buttons being added, however sinc then after 100's of retunes, factory resets, unplug everything and start again I just cant get a signal. Then on the odd occasion it will be fine for about an hour or so, what can I do. This is from my top box freeview.
