Hi,
Why are there so many BBC lip-sync problems with the Hannington transmitter at the moment ? The re-sets seem to be quite often.

there is no reported issue with your transmitter.
You may have issue with your tv or aerial system.

I do hope someone can help as this is driving me crazy. I live about 3 miles from Crystal Palace. Until they built the monstrous flats right in front of me, you could SEE the transmitter directly ahead of you, back in the days when reception was perfect.
Now, tuning into Freeview via my PCTV T290e DVB-T USB tuner, you get between 1% signal strength and 100% - it's massively inconsistent and the slightest touch of the aerial knocks everything out.
Tried aerial amplifiers, amplified (and non-amplified) aerials, the tiny portable antenna that came with the tuner, and limited success. In fact the amplified aerials seem to have yielded the worst results.
Any suggestions?

Hello. I get very good Freeview from Hannington transmitter. I am located in Yateley, Hampshire, GU46 6ES.
I have seen a number of news reports that suggest that the new 4G mobile service may have a detrimental effect on Freeview signals in many parts of the country but they are never specific. Do you happen to know if Hannington and my area, is likely to be affected ? Many thanks.

Dave: No because, just as with the media we don't have a crystal ball and can't see into the future.
There are a whole number of variables, not least where the operators site their base stations. How do you think we might find that one out?
The "areas" that will be affected are likely to be close to base stations.
Honestly, why do people bother putting their efforts into worrying about something they can do nothing about and which may never happen?

Hello, I have been getting good digital signal up until last week and now I am intermittent interference on most channels. I am located in Newbury and had a new aerial 2 years ago which is placed on the roof.
Does anyone know of current broadcast problems?

Richard: Newbury postal areas can be RG14 or RG20 with the reception possibilities varying quite considerably between the two districts as more than one station is involved, however nothing has been posted on the TX fault site with regards to any problems being in existence nor are any engineering works taking place.
You should check with a neighbour to find out if the fault is purely confined to your own installation as it might not be.
A more detailed answer can only be given when a post code or one from nearby has been supplied, as its impossible to access info regarding reception or the transmitters involved without this information.

Thanks for the reply, I am located in RG14 area. On thing I have noticed is that the BBC channels seem more effected and the ITV, Channel 4 etc seem to be fine!
