Having just purchased a new HD television with built in Freeview and living in the Sketty area of Swansea, I have discovered that my transmitter (Kilvey Hill) does not cover Channel 52 (i.e. Chgannel 4 HD). Can you please tell me why and if this is going to be rectified in the near future. Whilst I can receive S4C HD (Channel 53) I am not a welsh speaker.

Steven Nancarrow: It was announced earlier this month that S4C Clirlun is to close at the end of the year.
Transmitters in Wales carry S4C Clirlun in lieu of Channel 4 HD. I don't know whether it is likely to replace S4C Clirlun when it closes.
Failing that, Channel 4 HD is available on Freesat.
Or you may be able to receive it from a transmitter in England such as Mendip. For this you will need a second aerial combined with the Kilvey Hill one.

Steven Nancarrow: If Wenvoe is receivable at your location, then Mendip may be roughly in line with it, which makes me wonder whether a single aerial may allow you to receive all services from Wenvoe and 4HD from Mendip.

Is there an issue with the Kilvey transmitter as since the olympics have started i have lost all COM6 ArqB C28 530.0MHz channels. These include Film4 ITV4 Viva and Yesterday.
Before the olympics started i received all these channels perfectly but now i can not get them back no matter what i do
I have tried retuning manually as well as automatically.

pat Brown: Reception from Kilvey Hill is fine on the North Devon coast right now. The good weather is due to high atmospheric pressure, which can increase interference from far-away transmitters on the same channels. If this problem persists, depending on your location in Swansea, you might wish to try receiving signals from Preseli, Carmel, Wenvoe - or even Huntshaw Cross.
