Should have added, if the aerial is pointing at Arfon, the rods should be vertical. If it's pointing at Llanddonna, are there any trees in the line-of-sight?

G jones: Sony Movies Action is not broadcast from transmitters in Wales, due to the need for S4C to be broadcast from every Welsh transmitter, which takes capacity on the PSB2 multiplex used to broadcast E4 in England/Scotland/Northern Ireland, which in turn causes E4 to take space on SDN.COM4 which is used to broadcast Sony Movies Action elsewhere (presumably Sony get a discount for taking a slot with less coverage).
