Interesting, since a fault was fixed on the 27th July for BBCA mux the intermittent random problem I had with the signal dropping out completely for BBCA mux for a few minutes for a number of weeks has now gone.

Why are the Mux to Channel numbers not updated. For example COM4 is shown as CH 54 but
is now on CH 29. This has needed a change of aerial to a wide band type.

This website is owned by 'Briantist' and only he can do the updating, but he appears to be unavailable at present and has not been for several months.
If you require accurate information about the multiplexes on a particular transmitter, go to the Digital UK Coverage Checker at Digital UK - Coverage checker and put in the relevant post code information.

You are just 16km from the Midhurst transmitter so you may have too much signal. Ideally you want between 60% and 85% strengths on all the multiplexes. Your TV set will have a feature for manual tuning and that will show the strengths but DO NOT RETUNE. Check in your User Manual if you are not sure how to use that feature. Do that check at a ctime when the channels are being lost.
Incidentally, the format you entered your post code in is incorrect so the system failed to resolve it, you should normally use the format GU31 4PZ. If you pout that into the Digital UK Coverage Checker at Digital UK - Coverage checker it will tell you all the channel numbers used by Midhurst currently and any planned changes in the future. Simply scroll down to find the listing for Midhurst.

The BBCB multiplex is already HD and has been for some years. There are no COM7 or COM8 transmissions from Midhurst and will never be as they are temporary services likely to finish in around 2022.

Midhurst transmitter seems to have a lot of problems. People living in the Horsham area have varying degrees of reception particularly over the past few days. Despite retuning, resetting these problems keep occurring. There are several moans about TV reception on Trafalgar neighbourhood website.
