Hi I have I think a group c/d aerial up on the roof pointing to Pontop Pike, but my free view TV says no signal? Do I need to change my aerial and would a wide band be better

Paul: If your getting 'no signal', it means just that - your either getting nowt or a signal too low for the TV tuner to make use of it. Classic problem is a loose connection or broken cable somewhere in your system. Start at the back of the TV, and work your way back.
Now its true that there have been problems caused by weather for the past week or so, but thats pretty unusual. I'd look at your system first.

There is engineering work being done at PontopPike transmitter at present and it is said there is likely to be weak signals during this work. They never say when it is expected to finish and return to 'normal'.

Barry Dowson: The number of channels lost by switching to your local "Esh" Freeview light transmitter can easily be seen under "Mux", accessed by scrolling upwards to "Which Freeview channels does the Pontop Pike transmitter broadcast?" at the top of this section, everything in the Mux list from COM4/SDN downwards being lost.

Transmitter engineering:
Had no freeview on 2 TV's since Friday morning (11/3/16), tried reset procedure (Sat & Sun) didn't work.
Ariel connections look fine, splitter & booster look OK.
Area is Bedlington Northumberland (Pontop Pike).
