Tim: That page states "Supports HDTV/AC3 standard for high definition video and high quality audio experience (DVB-T reception only)", so it only receives standard definition (DVB-T) off-air.

So in other words only HDTV via Normal DVB-T eg Mpeg 2 and not Mpeg 4?

Blast it!

Tim: I don't know the answer to your question, but you can't pick up Freeview HD services.

Kev: That is correct. The three Commercial multiplexes remain on low power and on their pre-switchover channels until 18th April on which date another retune will need to be carried out in order to continue to receive them.

Heres the log from the tuning. It finds signal strength, but no quality. So does this mean its definitely not DVB-T2 Compatible?

thanks for the help, looks like ill have to save for one of those tuners!

Sorry to hear some of you have problems, but I am a very happy bunny!

I took my masthead and two boosters OUT and connected a portable TV to the aerial in our loft and got 61% signal strength on all stations and 100% quality. I then rotated the aerial to vertical polarisation and got 91% strength and 100% quality.

Then I wired the distribution amp back in to feed all rooms and wow all Freeview receivers work well (100+ channels). The 4 Freeview HD channels on our Sony Bravia 40inch is perfect, no breakups, solid signal.

Why have we been waiting so long?

I hope others sort out their problems soon. Try vertical polarisation? I did not expect it to be that much better. The April 18th changes will just help on some minor channels. I will not notice any difference.

Whooppeeee..........

For interest, I'm on the fringe for Rowridge (due to a hill in the way); I use a diplexer into a masthead amp to combine RR & Poole Transmitters.. and then feed the output from that through my V+ box (so I can see VM TV on all TVs)..

Here are the details of _my_ signal levels, just thought it may be of interest or use to someone. This is on a £18 scart_stb. My Samsung TV appears to only currently pick up a subset of these as I stated earlier...

Also I have no idea what's transmitting on C45(!)

C24 57% 88%
C27 55% 81%
C30 46% 68%
C33 45% 60%

C45 46% 70%

POOLE

C53 53% [HD]
C57 56% 95%
