jamie stevens: If you're that bothered, why not get in touch with Ofcom or Digital UK? That's where this site gets its information from, and it seems like the postcode checker only has Com7 on HP.

I am unable to get ITV, C4, 5 (10 services missing in all) etc in Emsworth since yesterday. Have tried re-tuning, no luck at all. Any idea why?

Peter:
You seem to have issues with UHF 27.
Are all other channels working without issue??
Are you having the same issue on multiple tvs?
What is your postcode?
Where is you aerial mounted?
Generally Emsworth has very good reception ( I am local to you)
Your issue is likely to be some part of the system or your tv as the transmitter is working fine.

Steve: Before complaining about the licence fee (a frequent complaint on these pages, however unwarrented), have you actually checked your equipment (any loose connections, etc) and signal strength?
Although your terrain plot shows an obstruction some 7km away from you, your not that far from the transmitter, which is apparently working normally. Are you getting the BBC channels, yet they are breaking up? or are they entirely gone?
If its the first, your signal strength is perhaps too high, and if its the latter, your missing the mux, which might be due to any number of reasons.

I live in south Isle of Wight and can see clearly the lights of Rowridge. But anything on channel 25 is not available. The tuner doesn't even pick it up. Other channels are v strong. I have three tvs, one withmasthead amplified aerial (shouldn't need it !),other 2 are indoor variable gain.
Why is channel 25 so weak - the stats on signal strength don't suggest this, but I am due south of the transmitter.
Anything obvious ?

So the Rowridge VP COM7/8 mystery continues.
I suppose all will become clear in January, so fingers crossed VP is included.

andrew burroughs: It is the case that the COM channels provide inferior coverage to that of the PSBs.
One of your neighbours reported that he could not receive C28, even with vertical polarisation:
Rowridge (Isle Of Wight, England) transmitter | ukfree.tv - 11 years of independent, free digital TV advice
Unfortunately the powers that be won't release the radiation patterns - these show how the transmitter throws out the signal in each direction. My suspicion is that the COM channels from Rowridge are directional with little or nothing to the south, whereas the PSBs are not. If this is the case then it is an example of where the COM channels are inferior in coverage terms.
It may be that the COM channel antennas don't point in your direction and that the "bits" of signal you are getting are off the back or edge of them. With that in mind, it is to be expected that the way in which these "bits" are scattered may vary by channel (frequency).
You can try turning your aerial for vertical polarisation, but this didn't help for Colin up the road.
Rowridge broadcasts horizontally and vertically (this being unique among the main stations). The PSBs are 200kW horizontally and vertically whereas the COMs are 50kW horizontally and 200kW vertically. A wideband aerial is not needed for Rowridge. Yagi widebands aren't as good on Group A channels, which Rowridge uses exclusively. If a yagi aerial is used it should be a Group A one.

Im am local to you and know your location well.
Reception in this area is very good, not likely to be too strong unless you have an amplifier on the system.
The issue is not the transmitter or anything to do with you paying a license fee.
The issue must be with your system or equipment.
regards
