jane clamp: Yes, as per "18 May and 19 May 2011: Engineering transmitter work will take place between 00:01 to 06:00 on 18 May and 19 May 2011. TV services that will be disrupted: Analogue services - BBC1, BBC2 and ITV will be subject to periods of shutdown between 00:01 and 06:00 Digital services Mux A, Mux 2 and Mux C will be subject to service interruptions between 00:01 and 06:00"

this all makes me laugh for a couple of reasons:
1) how none of you seem to be able to or can't be arsed with reading the warning that the service is liable to interruption that is posted quite clearly all over this site
and
2) how none of you can cope with losing TV for a few hours. There isn't anything decent on TV the best of times let alone 0100 - 0600 in the morning! Get a life people! You not have partners that you can have entertainment with? :P

For the record - the specific time and date periods of transmitter work WERE NOT MENTIONED at the time the majority of comments were posted. I'll spell it out, they were added after, Hence the comments! "D'oh!"

AB is correct, there were no warnings of this at the time of the above posts, and all google searches stated that the transmitter was working fully with no problem. So thanks, but I can read and I can be arsed, and I have better things to do than hang around sites posting snidey comments.

Midlands Today warned this evening off possible interruptions, bit there was no such warning on Tuesday evening. Perhaps this would explain why those of us who posted went on google and found this page?

1) The fact that you are too stupid to consider that the message detailing the times of the maintenance could be posted AFTER a lot of posts.
and

Up until one month ago I could get DTV Freeview channels 12 15 24 but now there's no signal .......can anyone explain please.

We live in Dudley. Since yesterday, our freeview signals have deteriorated, to the point of the "No signal" message. Do you know why? We have retuned, as your site instructed, and lost a lot of channels. Does anybody know what is going on? Where can we get any information?
