Hi - looking around for an explanation of the problems I am having receiving Dave and Pick TV. Other channels are OK. Arial is on a pole on the chimney stack and is orientated the same as other houses nearby. Reception strength given by the television states 80 - 82 % but then it flicks to zero. Dave and Pick TV give a blank screen and then after a few minutes a broken frozen image. Any ideas? Post code is NG10 3FH. Thanks

Over 2 weeks now & still cannot get even half decent reception for any TV Channel on Mux 2 & Mux D in NG1 1QL. The Predictor might say it is decent but it isn't. Pixellates, freezes, no signal... the lot. something must have changed!

Hi
I live in stourport (DY13) and aim the aerial to Sutton Coldfield. Just got a freeviewHD tv and can still receive all the digital channels as with my older freeview tv, but no HD channels.
Will i be needing a different aerial to get HD or should I wait till September and the switch over when Sutton will get more oomph!
(I know Burlish will get switched on but it'll only have limited channels)
Many thanks
Graham (DY13 an)

Graham Powell: To receive HD signals right now, you will need a Group K or wideband aerial. A newish Group B aerial - made in the last 15 years - should have some gain down at C34, but the results are likely to be poor. An older Group B aerial, not designed to receive Channel 5, probably won't pick up much down at C34.
The HD transmissions actually come from Lichfield, where Channel 5 analogue comes from. If Channel 5 analogue is poor, HD probably will be as well.
At switchover, all services move into Group B, so you should *not* need a new aerial. The HD multiplex moves to Sutton Coldfield, and takes over BBC Two's current analogue frequency.
All relays will carry the HD service. For reference, the broadcasters call this relay Kidderminster.

Graham Powell: Depending on whereabout you are located in DY13 it is possible that the C34 signal from Bromsgrove is strong enough to block the HD signal from Lichfield. Some parts of Stourport have a choice of several transmitters which offer good reception of the HD mux, including Ridge Hill, The Wrekin and Bromsgrove which are already in service.

Hi, any idea if there are any problems with the Sutton Coldfield transmitter, can't get ITV4 at the moment despite several retunes and multiple checks. The channel was fine yesterday (52.6784,-1.9027)

Hi
Your site recommends aerial group E/W for Sutton Coldfield Freeview (I am at CV8)however Digital UK recommends group BH.
Which one is the correct recommendation (or have I mis-read?)
